Hello all, a message from Charne if I may? Results from the Dressage & ODE Sunday 11th September 2011 - Firstly let me thank some fabulous committee & club members because lets face it without them none of our events could go ahead. Some people came both Saturday for set up and Sunday for the competition & did sterling work. From your committee Sarah Hobson, Your starter of the day, Stuart Schofield photographer amongst several other titles, Sue Smith, Kath Lomas(the whistle blower), Dianne Schofield, Jean Nield, Jacqui Boyd for organising the caterer as our usual lady was busy elsewhere, Mo Hallworth not only for sponsoring the beautiful trophies but for organising the St John’s cover, our members helping were Alicia & Anja Knudsen (ps Alfie is still in love with Miss Foxy), Jo Kinsley, Claire Birchenough(Claire not only wrote for the judge but assisted competitors making sure they were wearing the correct outfit/tack), Gemma Berry & Andrea Armitage for show jump judging, Rachael Mycock who walked miles with Isla, Scarlett & Celia collecting sheets & whatever else need doing, Zoe Berk, our jump judges were Mark & Jude Cliffe, Debbi Lee & Marie-Claudine Knobbs (very kind lady who volunteered her services), Bonnie Boyle was ace chasing up helpers & finally Angela & Joe Santos Rosa. Joe is a non member who was whizzing everywhere on the quad without which I just don’t think we could have managed & Angela was ace scoring in the caravan & remaining calm and on the ball whilst I did my usual headless chicken impression! I am afraid it was a baptism of fire for all of us as non of the committee or members I believe have ever hosted this type of event before, so well done TEAM CHAPEL. If I have forgotten to mention anyone by name please accept my apologies & I shall beat myself with a rolled up copy of Horse & Hound in penance.All that most necessary thanking aside the general consensus of opinion was “YOU HAD A FABULOUS DAY” We were so lucky with the weather, the ground was excellent, Anita Parks our dressage judge enjoyed her day. Download membership form 2012 here Please complete membership form and send to Jane Salt (address on application form). A duty day is a requirement of membership so please complete a date/s of your first choice of duty. There will be 3 summer shows & 3 dressage competitions this season. In September we will be holding a combined training competition. We hold monthly training sessions & run when possible social rides. Chapel members are also eligible to enter other Area 3 club shows at members rates, this includes Wilmslow, Macclesfield RC & Rochdale. Membership cards must be carried at these events. So make the most of your club & come and join us at our events throughout the year. |
