Area Qualifier Latest Round up of results
As many are now aware I was lucky enough to become a Committee Member at the beginning of the year with the task of taking Chapel and District onto the National map and hopefully qualify Teams for the various Championships throughout the year. It has been a slow process encouraging members to have a go, but we are slowly but surely making our mark.
The 25th March saw a small (and young) band enter the Area 3 Festival of the Horse Combined Training Qualifier at Bold Heath Equestrian Centre. Molly Blackburn, Caitlin Dean and Lottie Dennett all achieved a commendable dressage score and then went on to jump a clear round. We never managed to track down a full set of results, but several weeks later we were delighted to find out that Lottie and Tin Tin had come 4th and qualified for the Finals at the Festival of the Horse, 20-21 May 2017.
Saturday 6th May saw a slightly bigger Chapel contingent head over to Osbaldeston for the Area 3 Dressage to Music Qualifier. Freyja Barrett, Molly Blackburn, Charne Turnock-Riley, Lottie Dennett and Caitlin Dean had all been working on their music and dance moves for weeks and all put in a stunning performance. The hard work paid off – Charne achieved a fantastic 3rd in a highly contended Senior Novice class. Molly came 2nd in the Novice Junior and Lottie and Freyja achieved a 3rd and a 4th in the Prelim Junior section. Caitlin and Toffee Crumble danced their way to victory and qualified for the National Final at Bury Farm on Sunday 1st October.
I am sure you will join with me to wish Lottie and Caitlin good luck at their respective finals.
The next Area Qualifier will take place on Saturday 17th June at Bold Heath Equestrian Centre. Any budding Dressage Divas out there can compete to qualify for the BRC NAF National Championships at the Lincolnshire Showground on the 2nd and 3rd September. So far Charne is going on her own! If you would like to take part please read the email sent on 29th April for full details.
An email will be sent shortly detailing how to enter the Horse Trials Qualifier on Sunday 2nd July at Somerford Park.
I am always happy to answer any questions about BRC National competitions, so please feel free to contact me firstname.lastname@example.org.
